My factory CD73 Radio CD Boost died on my 2009 MCS R57, has power, no screen, audio etc.
Found a used replacement, exact same PN's, with a build date 1 month earlier than mine, March 09 vs April 09.

After swapping the bad radio for the replacement radio, everything works EXCEPT the PDC.
I've confirmed the PDC works, reverse lights come on and PDC sensors in rear are clicking, all 4x of them.

When looking at the options in the Radio, PDC volume does not show up, GONG and other options do.
I think the replacement Radio needs to be reprogrammed to add the PDC function, as the Radio manages the chimes function.

I went into "service mode" in the Radio and got the SW revision.

Anybody know how to recode the factory Alpine CD73 head unit?
Assume it's OBD based.

I pinged BimmerTech, they recode BMW/ Mini radios, just not this old.
E90 BMW's used the same CD73 Radio, just in a different form factor, maybe needs a BWM hacker?
