Found a low mileage (7k), dealer-demo with CPO Warranty and intend to pick it up late next week.

Looks to have Heated Seats, Nav/XM, harmon-kardon, Sport seats, xenons and fog lights, center armrest, and bonnet stripes.

I think it's a good change. Base model engine for my ~16yr old to get used to vs. the speed of the S model. Plus...it's a rag top

I see herein that means hand washing, treating the top with protectant.

Any other thoughts/tips for me to look for when I go to take a look at her in person?

It hit a Mini dealer in July 2013 (from Southhampton).

So something a little wonky about the First Owner taking the car Jan 2015 and putting very little mileage on it.
Plus, it was CPO’d in May and offered for sale by Mini dealer. Then, 1 or 2 months later, offered for sale by a non-Mini dealer…then a month later back to the Mini dealer and offered for sale again.
And it can’t seem to keep its wiper blades in good order!?

 

Sounds like bought in put in a garage , its a convertible so some people store them over the winter months.

I seen this happen, sold to a NON MINI dealer because they traded it in on a " flavor of the year car". Then the dealership who took on trade does not know anything about MINI and tries to sell it back to MINI, MINI buys it then makes it a CPO.

Circle of MINI life. Seen this happen with JCW cars and $45-50 K MINIs.

 

Turns out, per the dealer, that this was a "manager" driven vehicle (demo).

And this Mini dealer just turned over to new ownership. They say since this car was on that lot for so long, it was written off in the buyout. Say they're still losing a little over two grand on it but new owner doesn't want anything on the ground over 60 days.

I called Roadside Assistance and they indicate the CPO is in place...good thru 7/2018 or 75k miles.

This is now 99.3% done...but I won't get out there until late next week. They sent the orig window sticker...was $34.5k, including Highgate Pkg, Cold Weather, MINI Connected w/ Nav, Technology and black headlight housing and anti-theft.

Now I'm getting a little excited. I'll have this car from Thursday afternoon until Sunday...and will put ~700 miles on her. Hopefully won't be needing that Roadside 800#

 

2013 Mini Cooper Highgate

 

Thanks for posting up a picture, the Highgate is a special Convertible and I really like the seats and the paint , back in 2012 VP from MINIUSA was cruising around in one.


I really like the convertible top and how it shines in the sun.

Big convertible fan here !

 

I almost bought a highgate convert but apparently they never made them an S model, or so it seems so passed on it. But the package is nice, real nice.

My wife has an S 2012 R57 and loves it.

 

They made them in an S , the VP of MINI was driving one for some time.
