Temp Gauge

Anyone here replace their "Top Up" gauge with a temp gauge? Sorry, but that "Top Up" counter just seems silly and the space could be better utilized with a gauge that actually gives you some useful information.

I looked in to it and the housing is odd sized and not compatible with any temp gauges I have found. I too find the top down time gauge of little value. Oil temp would have been great. Maybe I will install it somewhere else.

I am thinking of ordering this.

Going to give them a call and see if I can swap the mount kit that comes with the kit to the mount where it is all on one side. Just put them on the other side.

Now i could be wrong on this but if someone in the know could chime in that would be great.

I remember seeing some pictures of the circuit board in the tach for the R57 with open o meter and from what i remember the circuit board was a special design so that it extended out into the Open-O-Meter part of the housing.

I can find the pictures right now but i swear i saw it some where.

Okay i found the picture i was looking for. Not actually a circuit board that connects them together but they are integral to each other.

See this post for picture.

That was my understanding. They are attached. I do need gauges though.
