Any tips on lubricating the top mechanism?

When our top goes up and down the mechanism squeaks quite a bit. Does anyone have any quick tips on where to lube, and how to loosen the interior roof lining to get to the joints?

I've used Liquid Wrench dry lube on the scissor joints and around the drive gear gotten to through the boot with some success. Somebody may have a better suggestion.

I just used a little generic lube for a motorcycle chain. Just don't put too much on so it drips. Run the top about 1/2 way up and stop there. You can see the main hinge points. Run the top up and down to work the lube in and it should be pretty quiet. I'm sure there are more elegant solutions, but I just used what I had in my garage.
