R57 Openometer - thoughts?
Cool!
So how exactly does the openometer track the time? Was the 5.5 hours over the course of a single trip, or can you stop & restart the car without losing your accumulated time? And if stopping and restarting the car doesn't reset the time, what does?

My take is
that's it's a marketing feature with little real value. I've owned convertibles since 1987 and I don't need a guage to tell me how much time my top is down. It's down all the time exept when it's raining hard (light drizzle is no problem thoug) or when my passengers biatch too much about noise or thier hair getting messed.
Like many here said, it would have taken little real engineering to make a multi-funcition gauge. the temp sensor in the car knows the real tempurature, why not put it on a gauge! Especially with a boosted car...
Seems to me, it's more form over function....
