Yup...Bryan got it to work just fine! I didn't access the mode properly, I guess.

 

Rut-roh. That means I did the same thing. What about the lock/unlock beep/light? For us to have done the same thing,....hmm,..I would like to think it is a ducumentation issue.

Did a little motoring this morning...permission to gush over the Cooper.

Man, I love the way this car drives!!!! It is so different from my '03 Cooper...not better or worse...just a diffferent flavor and I LOVE IT!!! The improved torque down low is welcome, but over all the engine is just so smooth. I do think the car is more refined. Controls are hefty...and even the one's that at a glance might look plasticy (manual AC controls, audio on/off) feel really great! However, refined does not mean dumbed down...not at all. This thing will just do whatever you want and that gladly. I am so pleased!!! And this isn't even counting the gearbox which it absolutely stunning...very notchy and unambiguous...feels great. Add to this.....yes, there's more...the magic sport mode button......WOW!!!!

Oxygen Blue is also amazing. If I wanted a sultry, sexy, or serious MINI I'd be stalking a different section of the color palette. But for fun/cheeky, OB is a definite winner. Nothing but raves from me. And, coming from Indi Blue (and having had several days of rain) I think it will not appear as dirty or be as hard to maintain on a day to day basis (not that I ever minded, really). Oxygen Blue is a perfect combination of a classic color with a carefree, unpretentious vibe that looks awesome both with chrome trim/grill and w/ the black plastic bits.

Yeah, Skuzzy snapped a quick one as I was heading out....nice job, Skuz!! I drove my '03 to drop off my daughter at the train station...going back and forth is weird.

I would have taken a pic of the interior, but it was a bit rainy, and we got to jawing and just lost track of time.

The interior is quite stunning. I really found the steering wheel to be quite smashing.

 

Skuzzy...how COULD you!? We want to see the interior!!!! WAAAAAAAH!

 

It took quick reflexes to pull off the shot he got...I was on the run!!!

I went with Alta because they have two versions (short and shorter...I got the former) and both are threaded for the R56. The R50/53 shorty won't work.
