R56 Fuel indicator problems?
This makes me wonder. Does the non-US Cooper have the 10.6 gallon tank? If so, maybe some of the wrong sender units make their way into the US bound cars? Like the occassional 3 spoke non-MFSW, or the wood wheel. Or the steering wheel on the right....
It is as likely a scenario as anything else I have heard LynnEl.
EDIT: Uh LynnEl, I just noticed your post count. 25.1 posts per day?!?! hehe. And I though I was a talker. LOL!

Yeah, well now that I reached 6th gear and I'm still not allowed in the lounge, that may drop very soon. And, BTW, can someone (hint, hint) add to the 4 letter word game already????
Folks ive questions, i just got mini cooper 2008. I just filled up full tank, its shown that i can go like 400 miles, i used driving from la to sf like 340 miles. And its shown like 3 bars left. And i filled up, it was like 11.77 gallons, and i took a miles to got home, and the next day im about go to work, my indicator went down to 7 bars (i'vent drive anywhere) so it confused me.. Need some help folks
I'm pretty sure we've driven ones with the smaller tank in Britain.
That sounds like the same tank in my 08 MCS. I normally fill up about 3 bars with 12-12.5 gallons. I've put about 13.5 gallons in when I get to the last bar. Normally I drive about 60 miles before the first carrot goes away. I usually get about 350 miles/tank in the winter and about 380 in the summer.
Keep resetting the trip meter at fill ups, and get used to how the non-linear gage works. No biggie.
Have fun,
Mike
