I'm in the same boat as you, no pun intended...ok I guess it actually was. Anyways, I'm fairly confident that the WW site with the VIN would be correct, at least im hoping so. I certainly don't want to wait for the next boat to go ALL the way across the Atlantic.

Hey all -

I'm having the same problem. Ask MINI and MINIUSA have me on a status of "awaiting transport" but the WW website shows my vin as Loaded on Freedom. I think that their info is probably a lot more reliable than what Ask MINI might have or at least I hope so...

Let's hope for the best!

I know, Ive been watching for an update too, but judging by previous posts on other ships, they dont always call in on a 24 hour basis. The winds have been pushing her west north west for a while now , so it may be a day or so late. These auto carriers with up to 4000 cars on board have to go with the flow for max fuel efficiency. We will see tomorrow.!!

Looks like Freedom is now about only 300miles away from the Newfoundland coast, made up some good time with the winds.

Well, Sailwx shows the Freedom rounding the bend past Nova Scotia now. You guys in NY are so much luckier than we in the South, we wait 6 extra days!

LynnEl, It should show a destination port on your WW tracking info site...
you can also use that tracking site to fins out how many others are taking the same journey as you.
eg. there are 200 cars getting off at NYC and 160 heading down to Charleston.

input your VIN into this (you can get the VIN from the OL if you don't already have it)
http://schedule.2wglobal.com/AppTrac...trackType=Auto

The first page that comes up has the disembarkation port on it

Try starting from the main WW page:
http://www.2wglobal.com/www/WEP/index.jsp

then going to "customer centre" --> cargo tracking --> track by auto cargo ... but i'm not entirely sure how to find out exactly how many cars are going to each port.

i got an error when i clicked on that link as well!

If you hit refresh, itll work. Probably doesn't like to be linked from an outside referrer.

If you copy the booking number and search it under "track by booking number" instead of VIN, it shows all the cars VINs and a total number of cars to the same destination.

You can also use the Bill of Lading # to track them...

i don't know why i check ... other than some strange OCD and unbridled excitement about getting the car, but according to automated ASK-MINI, my vehicle is just now "in transit" ... so it's about a week behind reality. (that's what i've always heard was the case.)

of course, according to the Owners Lounge, i'm still "awaiting transport"!

I'm one of them!!! I've barely even had to wait at all. I ordered my mini on 3-26, just under 3 weeks ago and it's already next to the US

I think the NY Fireboat people should give it a hero's welcome complete with a water salute. And maybe the wording on th Statue Of Liberty could be changed to include the phrase " SEND ME YOUR MINIS"

So i guess that means she's coming in early (than the original 4/16 on the WW site)?!?! now hopefully it won't spend too long at the VDC before she heads my way at Princeton MINI in NJ :-)
