Wow, I have been weighing my options, leaning more and more towards ordering one after all this summer.... This looks quite exciting.

Yes this whole thing is quite an experience, very frustrating and sometimes and very pleasurable.(just like having a baby, i guess. My wife may not agree.!!) I highly recommend it.!!

The train ride shouldnt take but a day. The problem is On that weekend 20th three boats will be coming to the VDC that I know of, ( maybe More) thats probably thousands of cars. Just keep your fingers crossed.

Just checked AIS, FREEDOM is now in the main East- West Shipping route in the channel, joining hundreds of other ships going west.

FREEDOM UPDATE----- After a few days of silence Freedom has called in her position to Sailwx. She is about 200miles south west of Ireland, and heading west.

Should i be at all concerned that when i called the 866 ASK MINI number just out of curiousity that they told me i wasn't on a boat yet? The cargo tracking on the boat site clearly had me as loaded aboard the freedom and half way across the ocean. My initial thought is that the MINI rep was wrong -- anyone know who is probably correct?

i get the same thing from ASK-MINI ... for some reason, i trust the WW tracking site more. i'll be bummed if i missed the boat!

If your vin # said you are on the boat, then you are on the boat.Thats The bill of laden # what the shipper uses to get paid for.

the WW site still has my VIN as loaded on FREEDOM, so i am hoping that you are all right.. I dropped an email to my MA also, and he even told me the same thing ASK MINI did, that i'm still listed as waiting for a boat... so hopefully he's misinformed also
