Whalen Shift Machine

I just saw some pictures of customized whalen shift ***** and was very impressed. If anyone has one of these could you tell me how much it cost to get a custom design and how the know feels/shifts compared to the stock one.

1. it feels great! rub the *** every morning on the way to work - great way to start the day. Its a little bit smaller 1/4" than stock, and weighs 3X stock. (18oz vs 6oz I believe). Heaviness makes for more satisfying shifts.
2. it gets very cold (and very hot)
3. depending on whether you need any graphics help, its $150 for engraved ****, plus a bit.
4. Do a site search on "whalen" . you will be overwhelmed by the amount, enthusiasm, and downright craziness about Whalens.

Check out whalenshiftmachine.com

I love mine, which was a customized shift pattern I drew up and sent to Doug Whalen digitally. I am very happy with it.

Yes, it is very cold in the winter, and hot in the summer, but those small negatives are greatly outweighed by the positives: how awesome it feels to shift with it. The heavier weight makes it just feel great, and does make the act of shifting feel smoother and easier. It also has a great tactile feel to it, (I personally am a fan of the brushed finish, versus the pure chrome).

I recommend these ***** to anyone!

Doug was good enough to sell me his ****-holding mechanism. I'm working on turning some wooden *****. The mechanism is well machined out of stainless steel and brass.

Not sure you meant to post on th 2007 site. However, I think that I read somewhere that it will not fit 2007 MINIs.
