So my Mini FINALY came in last night! it was a crappy night out so i didnt take it for much of a drive but today while i was taking a friend for a spin around my neighborhood i came across quite the find! sorry for the poor quality it was taken on my iPhone!

if you look closely in some of the pics you can see my friend (a girl) sitting in my Mini looking mortified that i just turned around and parked to get these pics!

My dad has one, its my Mini's stable mate...

 

At risk of going too far OT, is it as uncomfortable to sit in / drive as it is said to be?

 

Actually, I find it to be pretty comfortable. Because the suspension is SOOO stiff the bumps in the road can be difficult on your back... but thats ok.
As for driving, I havent driven it yet (im 16, and I dont want to be responsible for a ruined clutch ), but it seems like my dad enjoys himself whenever he drives it!!

Fun fact: My Mini has more seat adjustment options than the Lambo!!

So we dont get in trouble, ill upload some new pics of Coop.

Btw, everyones Minis look GREAT!!! this really is a great community to be a part of.

 

Haha, that is an awesome sign... I might need one for my garage, or at least, my half of it. My wife has had some close calls with my MINI with various laundrybaskets and such...

We are going to lower her with H&R coil overs, paint the wheels black and black out all chrome...we will also paint some various bits in the outside..hood scoop and rear door handle...thats it for the outside for a while..
Inside were going to paint all the trim rings to match the exterior color, install the boost gauge and upgrade the sound system.

We will be changing the rotors to 2-pc DBA's, were just waiting for them to come in.

That will do it for 2008.....

Updated photo with "Winter Rims." I got them for the same price as I would've paid for steel ones, so I figured why not look good in the winter too!

I don't know....pretty is not what I am going for but I guess its OK....never had a pretty car before...I take a lot of Sh!%t from my buddies for buying the Mini....don't really care since my other car can put all of them in place..

I have to admit, I always loved the Mini since the gen 1 but never had the nerve to buy one. My buddy has a Z06 and purchased a MCS and kept telling me he enjoys driving the MCS more than the Z06. So after much contemplation and a test drive in a MCS I was hooked. I went for the JCW and other than the tourque steer I am really happy and having a blast doing what we do...MODS...lowering it in the afternoon Wednesday and going to finish up the black out process this week.

 

Its funny, after about a year of taking that kind of crap from EVERYONE, it alll stopped. Very seldom do I get an ignorant moron who just thinks Minis are 'gay', and only like 'mustangs.' Maybe Red Bull will have the same luck?
I personally dont mind that stuff, as I just show them a picture of my dad's weekend toy, or my mom's ride, and they come back down to reality.

 

That looks sick! Did you paint the arches or do they now come like that? It appears glossy from the pic.

Yes, indeed, two of them - first and third - were taken on Skyline... but Skyline Boulevard (CA-35 route in SF Bay Area), not Drive. The second is CA-89 near Burney Falls park (northern California).

And thanks for compliments - she's a very pretty girl indeed .
