How did you get the clear coat to be such a factory match? This is spray can right, or professionally done?
I ordered the Chili Red spray paint from Minspeed, and I used 3 coats of Krylon clear. The paint job turned out rather nice actually, the only down side being that it has not fully cured yet, it's kind of a slow process for spray paint to fully harden. Although it's not really a problem unless I get nailed by a rock.
There are quite a few nice roads out here. I always keep an eye out for other Minis. So far I think I've only spotted Robin's Mini once but I could have been mistaken. There are about 20 in this area. Roughly half I'd say are for commuting.
great looking cars trying to decide on what color wheels to go pw with black top
I'm kinda in the same boat (I have a PW/B roof on order)... I'm pretty much dead set on 16" Rota Slipstreams in either black (for the stealthy look) or Sports Bronze.

Yeah I used krylon clear for mine as well, but it did not come out anywhere near as smooth as urs did
Its ok tho I kinda like the way mine has some texture...almost matches the arches but my taillight rings are smooth like yours is, but boot handle and headligh rings are texture...funny I wanted to test it on the tailights first...it seems i always do it best on the first try haha
