Seat covers? No way! Neoprene? Sounds too kinky for me.

I really wish Mini would allow the cloth seats to be chosen with the "Nightfire Red". But I know a couple of good interior places that do good work. I might go with the leatherette so I can get all the other trim items I really want and have the seats covered after I get it.

Redwood Lounge Seat was my toughest choice since that required me to change my color combo from lighting blue to sparkling sliver. I ended up going with SS/B with redwood seat. I just can't get the imagine of those seat out of my mind once I have seen them in person. It end up costing me $300 more.

You say that like it's a bad thing .

Maybe by the time you're ready to order, MINI will allow cloth with nightfire red. I'm stumped as to why they don't allow this combination. Makes no sense to me

Dang, in one thread they got me paired up with 'the' Hasslehoff and in another thread I am tangling up with neoprene.

Not bad for a guy who has less than 40 posts. I can't wait to see what happens when I get past 100 posts. LOL!

Back OT. Well Rennie, rubber stuff aside, I cannot figure out why Mini will not allow the cloth with the Nightfire Red either. I got a little more than 10 days before I have to turn in my order. Here's hoping they change that little thing.

<< with black leather and it is absolutely horrible to get into during the peak summer times around here >>

If you have your programming done so you can open the windows and roof with the push (unlock) button on the key, the car will cool down considerably before you even get near it. =o)

It really doesn't erikvonzipper. Sure lowering the windows helps with that initial furnace blast, but if the seats are getting hit by any sunlight at all, they will burn the poop outta yer shorts if you come in contact with them.

When it gets hot here, the wind feels horrible, that is if you have any breeze at all. Most of the time it is still and just plain hot in the summer time.

I had a black interior once and it was the most miserable time I have ever had with a car. I grew to hate getting near it, much less driving it.

The toughest choice with my 1st MINI was figuring out the "perfect balance" of options. Apart from that, choosing the upholstery [decided on Space Cloth].

The toughest choice with my 1st R56 was again picking the upholstery [decided on the 2-tone leatherette this time], but also leaving the Xenon headlights off the list "just because they weigh a bunch". I'm too much of a power-to-weight fanatic for my own health! LOL

Toughest Choice

Definitely the color scheme. Exterior color, body color roof or white w/bonnet stripes, interior color line, yada, yada, yada. I still think about changing it every day but hopefully it will be locked in a couple of days and the torture will end.

IM NOT SURE THAT YOU CAN GET THESE SEATS COVERED DUE TO THE FACT THAT THE AIRBAGS ARE IMBEDDED WITHIN THE SEATBACK SIDES AND BURST OUT THROUGH SPECIAL SEAMS WHEN NEEDED.!!

Good catch djam43. I had forgotten about the air bags. That changes things a bit. Dang it. I GOT NO FINGERNAILS LEFT TO GNAW ON!
