R56 inspiration for the new MINI...
Seriously some people are destroying this whole community we hold so dear. MINI is the only car that brings people together like this and has drivers that wave at each other...but its certain people (and most know who im talking about...and they are on other threads too) that are ruining the fun spiritedness of MINI by bashing the R56
I dont get it who went and took a crap on your hood
Go pick a fight with a honda or toyota, but stop preaching about every aspect of the R56 that you dont like because there are some people (including me) that would chose the R56 anytime...yes there are somethings you wonder "why?" but trust me I have asked the same thing with R53 and lower...different models are going to appeal to different people, but don't insult the people for what they prefer or call them lesser than you because of that
Just relax, stop being so avid about hating others, and enjoy...You're driving a MINI just wave and smile...thats what we do best

dude(tte), this thread was dead and forgotten until you resurrected it.
look at the last post date before your post. (almost a year ago)
Oh wow woops...sorry
That was a fun read. Unless I missed it, how did so many people fail to realize the R56 front end was mostly dictated by new European standards that require a higher front end and effective bumper location? I think they refer to it as a "pedestrian protection" standard for the front end geometry of newer designed cars, or something like that.
[Edit] I see now that it was briefly mentioned, but generally ignored.
