HELP! WW site sez S.C. Dest. Should be NY?

My MCS was built 1/23. received at the terminal 1/25 and is booked on the Freedom, leaving 1/26. The Freedom next port is NY, then Baltimore, then Charleston, S.C. (Freedom still at dock as of this writing)

My port of destination is listed as Charleston, S.C.

My dealer and me are both in Metro Detroit. Our last MINI came through NY.

Have any of you guys seen this? Is this a mistake? zis NY too busy? Should I call someone? Who the heck do I even call?

Dazed and Confused in Detroit

I’d get hold of your dealer. They should have a list of cars on order and expected delivery dates. As for the port it’s shipped through, does that really matter as long as you get your MINI?

If the VPC for Charleston, SC is Greenville,SC (near BMW Plant) then from there it's really about the same distance to Detroit, 600 odd miles. Probably takes a day to go from port to VPC no matter where . It makes sense that the VPC in NJ covers a smaller geographic area than the SC one as it surely has a higher density of dealers nearby.

Don't worry.

All is well. I got my DS/B MCS last October from Motor City Mini and it was sent through Charleston, S.C. You would think it would get off the boat in NJ. It does add a few days to the wait but it is still worth it.

OK, so this has happened before, and seems to be normal.

Well, as of now I'm loaded, but she is still in dock.

Thanks for all the replies.
