Anyone know if a car can have a factory option installed before it gets to the dealer.
I'm thinking of having the VDC hold my MINI and install the factory aero once available or the factory JCW aero pieces.
I know they can do work that the factory does when there is something wrong with the car but I haven't heard about this possibility.
The price difference from factory to dealer install is about 2X.

I might have to contact MINI directly -- but thought I'd ask here if anyone here has been done this in the past.

 

iam getting the dealer to install the aero kit for £950 this includes the purchase as well

 

Wow that is excellent. It seems the aero is cheaper over there or the labor rates are much less. Regular service rates at my dealer are $95/hour. My dealer in the US said they were working on the pricing but it wasn't definate yet but that it should be simuliar to the 06. That means about $2900 installed instead of the factory price of 1300 -1400. I guess that means they estimate 15+ hours to install.
