The reason I had to wait is because I have two kids and an MCS is hardy a practical family car. My daughter turns 16 this month and will have her license by April/May, when I will give her my Accord and hopefully take delivery of my MINI.

I decided to buy before she went to college because once those bills start rolling in there will be no more new cars for a loooooooong time.

dean.

Oh ok.

I have a MCS with an auto trans as well, and the MCS with auto and the satnav both are supposed to be available for production STARTING in March, but delivered in late March/early April is what my MA told me on Saturday. Let me know if you hear something different though. I've long believed that every deadline for a release, Mini has been early on (ie: Cars for the US being built for several weeks now despite not being available until Feb 17th weekend, same true for the UK launch) and the March options will probably be no different. They have had the cars on the streets by those dates, not just ordered or in production.

At least, I'm hoping. My ultimate hope is the Audio Package will still manage to squeak out in March (and therefore be included in my car), since the website still indicates it being avaiable in March '07.

The lead time I was given by the MA yesterday was, in my opinion, very padded. Originally I was told late February/early March, which changed to February production and 8-12 weeks after that for delivery. However, all of my options were available immediately. The hi-fi sound system is the only item out of the audio package that won't delay production, so if you plan on getting the audio package your delivery date may change. I hope you don't have to wait too long.

Please let me know when you get one. I am expecting mine to be an early March build, and a mid-April delivery. I would be kind of surprised if you got one already, as I don't think the production groups have opened up that far out.

However, your options don't seem like they should be anything that would cause such a delay. I'd almost be surprised if your wasn't a fair amount earlier than what she said, but I dunno. This whole switchover thing has made production weeks and build times hard to figure.

Yeah. MA emailed me today and says it will probably be 30 days until I get a production number. Same delivery estimate, though. A little earlier would be nice, but I'm trying to keep early May in my head. Hopefully that will keep me from going crazy. I could use the time to save some money and get my VW sold.

Sent you a PM. I can't find much either. I don't think many people choose the wood. Maybe a dealership will have one with wood this month. Not counting on it. When is yours due? I won't be able to report on mine for about three months. I think you probably have a similar wait.

I was originally going to go with BRG as well, but my current car is that color. I decided I wanted a change.
