"The R56 will make it’s world debut at the Paris autoshow in late September and in the US at (drum roll please)…. the LA autoshow in early December."

THis probabally sounds stupid, but is r56, the new minis name, not cooper, or is it like the mini cooper r56?

R56 is the internal code for the next MINI Cooper. It will still be called the MINI Cooper.

The current generation MC is the R50
The current generation MCS is the R53

My dealer is telling me they expect first production units of the 07 Models in March/April of 2007... not likely earlier..
