N18 Errors (2be9, 2c01, 2c57)

Hi Everyone, I need some help diagnosing my problem. I've owned my '12 MCS for almost 3 years now, and it's been bullet proof for the most part. Issues
- March 2: driving at a constant speed of 100km/h, then as I started climbing the incline, I got the check engine light, and the engine dies. coasted to the shoulder, kept trying to start but it would just die. Pulled the key out, put it back in and it fires up right away, no hesitation or other issues. get home scan and got codes 2be9 and 2c01.
- no issues since then. this is my grocery getter. Every time I start it up, It fires up no issues, no misfires it's smooth
- May 24: after driving about for maybe 20 mins, just normal cruising, noting spirited. similar to the previous one holding a cruising speed around 90km/hr, check engine light on and just dies. Couldn't even get it off the road. Pulled the key out, back in 3 times, the third time it started. Again once started, no hesitation everything is smooth and feels normal.
- May 25: accelerating on freeway car was acting normal. I accelerated to get up to freeway speed (100lm.h) during acceleration around 80-90lm/h check engine light turns on, but engine is still on and still driving normal. Scanned car and got codes (2be9, 2c57)
- checked the live data for the high pressure fuel rail and nominal high pressure fuel rail, and the numbers are always close. I've driven this car almost everyday since these issues, it always starts fine and runs smooth.

searching the forums based on the code 2be9 says to replace the HPFP. Would these pumps cause intermittent issues like this? people have also said to replace the low pressure fuel pump. Replace the fuel filter, JBE - Fuel pump relay.

before I start spending a fortune on parts can anyone suggest some things to try to help isolate what the problem is with my car? Thanks

If the low fuel pressure measurement is fine, then the HPFP is likely bad.

Yes, when high pressure pump starts going out, issues can be intermittent, and will typically show up when pushing the car into boost. The codes you have “can” be caused by low fuel supply, also. Depending how many miles on the car, also consider replacing the in tank fuel filter.

thanks, I was worried the intermittent issues would be pointing to something else. does anyone have a good link to replacing the bosch HPFP? I only see guides for the older HPFP.
