Are settings stored per key?

Now that I'm nearly up to full function, I've noticed that with 1 key the auto-lock locks as you pull away & the other does not.

Are certain settings 'saved' depending on which key is used?

Thanks, I try to rotate my 2 keys to keep them charged, and noticed this 1 difference between them.
