2011 Cooper S clutch replacement

The clutch has started slipping on my 2011 Cooper S with ~150K miles. Does anyone have specific parts recommendations? I'm aiming for solid performance, but it's a daily driver and won't be seeing the track. Any hard-earned advice for completing this job? And as long as I have everything pulled apart for this job, does anyone have recommendations on preemptive work / mods I should do at the same time?

Stock if you like the feel, but go with the aftermarket stock set up and you will save $$$. So i did sachs dual mass and valeo clutch set up.

If you want to mod and add some HP/TQ down the road get a stage 1 or higher with a dual mass (factory set up) to single mass conversion. Most of the performance ones are like that: https://www.ecstuning.com/Mini-2011-...etrain/Clutch/ Most popular is the clutch master fx100

When i did mine i did the clutch fork and did the pivot pin also to brass. Cleaned everything up also. Also do the manual transmission fluid at that time. Check the trans mount/ Engine mounts. Its they are cracked, replace them.

do you have links for sachs dual mass and valeo clutch set up, fork, and pivot pin? Replacing R57 OEM clutch @ 91K miles so you might know of other parts to replace too

I didn't. I just pulled the slave and tied it out of the way, then reinstalled and drove off.

I did this: https://www.ecstuning.com/Mini-2012-...h/Clutch_Fork/

Clutch fork and pivot pin

Clutch N14 : https://www.ecstuning.com/b-valeo-pa...207572843~val/

Flywheel N14 JCW https://www.ecstuning.com/b-sachs-pa...207583195~sac/

What R57 do you have?

Make sure you install the disc correctly the first time...
Be prepared for small things to get in the way that you may end up having to replace (Clutch line, Starter). As I took mine apart doing the clutch, The clutch line was corroded enough that moving it caused it to crack and fracture. Dont unbolt the power wires from the starter! You dont have to, you will most likely break the positive post if you try to remove the wires and need to replace it.

N18 S R57 Clutch : https://www.ecstuning.com/b-valeo-pa...208606067~val/

Flywheel: https://www.ecstuning.com/b-sachs-pa...207595577~sac/

Clutch fork and pivot pin in metal: https://www.ecstuning.com/Mini-2011-...h/Clutch_Fork/

Guide tube: https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...e/23117545085/ These thing can get groves in them and then the throw out can hang up on it and not slide freely.

Some people go ahead and do the seal since they are there. https://www.ecstuning.com/Mini-2011-...h/23117568469/

Fluid on https://www.ecstuning.com/Mini-2011-..._Transmission/ You should be MTF-LT 4, check for the little sticker on the transmission that states the fluid to be sure. Its on the bottom side of the transmission.
