Stock halogen to halogen projector

I have a 2013 R56 and looking to improve the headlights. I tried the LED projector ones from ECS but even with the cambus adapter couldn't get it to work. SO not looking to just get better halogen light with a projector. Looking at VLAND, Spec-D. Any comparisons or opinion? I like the look of the Spec-D and not thrilled with the cutout for the washer on the VLAND even with the cap. Issues with tapping into the DRL for the LED parts of the light? Also - I have read that the Spec_D Hi beams only flash but do not stay on for the Halo projector ones (not the one I am looking at). Does that happen with this Spec-D one - Projector Chrome V2 LED DRL Headlights - Pair 2LHP-MINI06-V2-TM? Appreciate it. Thanks

JAy

I find that most (all?) of these aftermarket lights are so damn ugly. I am just keeping the halogens and not using the car at night for now. I'm thinking about just grafting whatever the current popular morimoto LED projector retrofit is into a set of junkyard halogen housings, but not sure if I'll ever get around to this.

Given the price difference im not sure spending on Xenon's makes sense nowadays. The LED look shines just as white for far less money and little difficulty for the lighting exchange especially for those who have halogens. Just wish there was LED light that is a legit plug and play WITH NO wire harness finagling to have the lights work with start up, arm/disarm alarm, blinker and hazard function. All those Spec D types you think are plug and play usually require some effort to figure out how to make all the functions work like their supposed to. So is VLAD lights the one now, or is people still buying the Spec D lights that get 90% of the operation right.......
