Gen 2 Purchase

I'm looking at maybe purchasing a Gen 2 R56. My wife currently has an '06 R50, which is really fun whenever I get the
chance to drive it. I have read through the Sticky, and also a few videos on what to avoid/expect especially with the
first years production. Other than what seems to be widely covered, are there any other large looming issues? As I'm searching
for corporate knowledge, is the Gen 2 one to avoid?
The Gen 3 is really not appealing to me in the least, and the R50, while not a problem,
is needing more attention. I'm just looking for a fun daily driver, without turning into a project car.
Thanks

If you can find a later 2013 R56 that's been taken care of well, you'll be better off.

Thanks. That is what I thought would be the best. As I can over think just about everything
I'm just looking for the Easter egg that might show up that somehow I missed in all the discussions.
