Hello Mini Fans :D
i started the rebuild of my Cooper S R56 with N14 engine Like 2 weeks ago. I saw that my exhaust manifold has Cracks in it. Goes into it. The Same is on the Turbo. I didnt have any Error Codes etc, but a oil flooded cylinder 3, that why i started the rebuild.
The Wastegate is in a good condition, but the housing iş cracked on the INSIDE and the right Side of the Turbo Fully covered in oil. The Turbo Oil Line was already New, so was all The gaskets in the Front Side and valve Cover.
Someone has any suggestions on my Turbo why it is so oil covered and tips to Take of the cylinder head without jacking Up the engine ?
IS there any suggestion on better Turbos, that do Not crack? Or maybe rebuild Tips or parts to upgrade?
Can Someone pls Tell me, how to get the head Off? Do i really need to Take the engine mount Part Off or that upper parts? Or is there another way without removing the headlights and the Lock Carrier?
