Rear windshield washer problem

2009 Mini R56 base. Rear windshield washer nozzle (incorporated into wiper arm shaft) rotates with blade instead of staying in one position.

It winds up pointing in a direction where it's ineffective.

What's the fix?

Thanks Nik. Helpful for adjusting, but the problem is that the washer jet moves from the correct position when the rear wiper operates.

What keeps the washer nozzle from moving?

Sounds like its twisted and moving loose, just holds in place due to friction on the end piece.

These thing can break off and spray on stream on the car behind you. LOL i have seen people drive around spraying cars behind them.

ECS

The plastic nozzle is held in place by a friction fit and that's fine.

It inserts into what looks like a brass tube. The problem is that the tube rotates with the wiper. It's supposed to remail static.

I expect that I'll have to remove the motor assemble and see what the problem is. I would have assumed that someone must have had that same problem.

Dont have one on hand on shelf here to check. We have in stock at vendor to ship out.

Think its static and the arm moves around it.
