2012 Mini Cooper S auto transmission temperature

Hi All,

Been searching forums to read my Asin 6 speed transmission temp without using a pyrometer. I have the Torque Pro app that I use to measure the trans temp on a chrysler that I also own. I read that 0105 is a custom PID that will do it, but I am not sure. I added it to the Torque Pro application with these settings, PID=0105, Scale Factor=x1, Unit type=[0d], Equation=A.

The results seem like what I would expect. after a 5 minute warm up the trans temp was 80f, after a 10 minute drive around town in the cold the trans temp was 132f while coolant was 197f. Another day I drove 15 minutes down the highway and the trans temp was 147f and the coolant was 212f.

Has anyone else measured the temp with Torque Pro? If so what settings did you use?

I have also seen a Bimmercode app. Does anyone know if that will measure Trans Temp? It's $50 so I would like to know before I purchase it.

Thanks in advance!
