R56 Funny noise from underneath enging compartment
Funny noise from underneath enging compartment
2007 Mini Hatchback, R56, 123,000 miles
For months and months Cooper has made a "buzzing " noise between about 2,000 and 2,200 RPM. The sound is coming from underneath the engine or in that area.
I Think the buzzing sound may be coming from the skid plate I installed -- it may not be tightened or seated completely, causing it to make a resonance at a certain RPM because of vibrations that come and go as the RPM goes up and down..
-- OR --
Is there any reason the transmission or motor would vibrate at a certain RPM range?
Thanks in advance.
