Check engine light

Check engine light came on.
Went to AutoZone and borrowed their code reader.
MAF is bad, so I get one from AutoZone and remove and replace MAF.
Check engine light is still on.
I used the AutoZone reader again shows MAF still malfunctioning.
Tried clearing the the code with AutoZone reader.

You need to find someone with a BMW/Mini code reader. Those generic readers will not read the Mini specific diagnostic codes.

Get a scan tool that has the ability to read OEM enhanced code ie: "0x2774" and not the ordinary P0102 and yeah, the $30 AutoZone scan tool won't cut it.
