Ram Pressure Flaps?

Had to order a new radiator support for my r56 and ordered an aftermarket one. Swapped over the 5 ram pressure flaps from my broken oem support today. The flaps were nice and loose on my oem support but seem to stick on my new one and I managed brake off one of the tabs . Assuming these are fairly important in directing airflow... Anybody simply take them off? Im prepared to pick up an oem support to guarantee fitment but thought I would check with brain trust here. Thanks in advance.

The purpose of those flaps is two fold:
1. With the car moving, the flaps need to open to allow airflow through the radiator.
2. With the car not moving, they need to close so the fan can pull air through the radiator. If they stay open when the fan turns on, the fan will just pull air from the flap holes. If the fan can’t pull air through the radiator, the cooling system cannot shed as much heat and will start to over heat.

My suggestion would be to apply some dry lubricant or try to work the flaps to loosen them up.
