Do you have to remove the timing chain to take head off ?
Have a 2007 R56 with n14 low compression in one cylinder going to install new pistons and rings, I just did the timing chain 5k ago so not going to put in new one. Do I have to remove timing chain to pull head or can I just pull off my cam gears ?
thanks
thanks
You'll definitely need to lock the crank and cams, and remove the cam gears. You shouldn't have to do anything with the crank bolt. You will need new cam gear bolts, as those are one-time use bolts.
