Mini R56 non turbo Petrol 2007 Weird A/C problem

Hi, I am hoping someone can help me diagnose the cause of the problem with my Manual Air Conditioning. I have Mini R56 non turbo Petrol 2007, it was re-gassed last year and today a weird fault occurred. When pressing the A/C button the Compressor engages for a second then releases. The A/C light comes on, and the engine revs rise, turning off and on the A/C after that the clutch does not engage. I probed the feed going to the A/C clutch and voltage is present when the A/C switch is on for a second the first time, then after that no voltage is present. I have checked the fuse in the side panel fuse box, and it is good, checked the Ohm reading of the evaporator temp sensor in the passenger footwell right, and the readings are correct. So, I am assuming another sensor is stopping the A/C clutch from staying engaged, and hoping it is not the relay built into the fuse board in the footwell. I can see a pressure sensor located near the bulk head on one of the A/C lines, but I have no idea how to test this, so I am now at a loss what to do, any advice would be great

Is the outside temp sensor working? If its showing a negative number the ac compressor wont engage since its so cold out theres no need for ac.
