Headlight bulbs

I have a 2013 Mini Cooper s r56 factory headlight housing and bulbs looking to get any suggestions and opinions on some brighter lights as I have a hard time seeing and doesn’t look like my lights are even on most times, not looking to spend an arm and a leg on it looking for some suggestions please.

I've used these for years ... avail at most any parts counter .... these don't produce TOO MUCH HEAT

which is a problem I've seen with some other BRIGHT bulbs: I've seen light housings 'cooked' by bulbs that generated too much heat and melted insulation off internal wiring causing shorts which ruined the light housing . . .

The problem isn't the bulbs, it's the halogen headlight assemblies themselves: they're garbage. Higher output lamps will help a little, but not that much.

The real fix is to replace the headlights with halogen projector or do a xenon retrofit. I've tried them both and either is way better than the stock halogens, which are just junk.

These are most probably the only non-compromise and certainly the best available solution for Halogen equipped 2nd gen Minis.
