Coolant flush, red coolant?

Good afternoon to you all cool cats and kittens,

I'm planning on flushing the coolant and replacing with new in my R56 MCS. I checked whats in there at the moment and noticed it was red, so I went ahead and ordered TRIPLE QX Red concentrate. Now after looking through a few guides I noticed BMW recommends blue coolant.

Would I be fine replacing the red in there for new red or switch to blue?

Also is it worth putting one those radiator cleaners in before the flush?

Cheers

Hello,

Might be a aftermarket or wrong fluid or they added a lots of wetter water. My guess they used that red stuff We dont have that stuff over here, we use just genuine MINI or aftermarket Blue-green BMW/MINI spec fluid. Yes just flush it all out and get the Bluish stuff and mix 50/50 with distilled water. You will be fine.

BMW coolant is blue and is made specifically to stabilize chemical reactions between the fluid and alloys used in the cooling system and engine components.
