So I built a bit of a frankenstein exhaust. I love how it sounds except for some drone in the cabin at around 2800-3200 RPM.

Added bits:

Vibrant 1791 Resonator

Vibrant 1148 Muffler

Removed bits:
Stock downpipe
Stock Resonator /pre-muffler
Stock Muffler

Trying to figure out my options for how to deal with the drone. I looked at building a 1/4 wavelength resonator but my calculations called for like an 85cm piece of pipe which is impossible to fit under the car. Anyone else have some creative that will help? Trying to keep cost down as much as possible (hence why I didn't buy a bolt-on turbo-back to begin with)

 

Seems like you built something similar to my Invidia Q300 system, which also droned a ton with a catless downpipe. Adding another resonator mostly solved it. Still gets a little annoying on very long drives but it's livable.

 

Yeah I'm leaning toward adding another one because doing a quarter wavelength side-branch resonance tube wouldn't fit. I have also heard that the Vibrant 1140 "ultra" quiet resonator may be a much better solution to my 1791. That or I'll put both of them in there and cross my fingers. Either way I'll update here
