Problems locking/unlocking the car when standing behind
I will randomly be unable to lock/unlock the car using the fob when I'm standing behind or beside the car. The comfort access button on the door also only works sometimes as well. If I walk to the front of the car and back to the door, it usually resolves the issue.
It always works when I press the fob from the front of the car. This leads me to think its probably a faulty antenna or something of that sort.
What should I be looking at to replace?
Thanks!

New-ish car battery, new battery in fob, tried both fobs.
I also believe the problem is not fob related or it should also randomly prevent me from starting the car using comfort access. The car has never failed to detect the fob if I'm in it.

look here for description of systems and replace/repair https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/r...comfort+access
Just wondering if anyone had experienced anything similar. Should I just replace the door antennas? How about the one in the centre console? Why would all of these stop working randomly together? Would that be a problem with the CAS module then? Hopefully I can get some insights before I throw money at the problem.
Just picked up an 08 Cooper S today, my first one.
I'm having a similar issue.. the car starts fine every time. The doors never work, but I noticed the rear hatch unlocked for me using comfort access. Not sure why just the doors won't work.
