Help identify this sensor/connector

Any one tell me what this sensor/connector is for? The is a 2011 coopee non turbo.

Looks like it's in the radiator hose? Then I'm guessing water temp..

coolant temp sensor. The new revised thermostat housing has the temp sensor along with a new 1-to-2 wiring harness.

some members has issues with this elbow breaking and even the sensor popping. I just get a countryman that has the same set up. I must replace the hose
