Need some info from those who REALLY, REALLY (REALLY) know the minis.
I'm looking to pull the hood off of my 2011 MCS (R56LCI) and replace it with a NON hood Scoop model.
The GoodWood Does this.
I was able to find some images off of google image search, below.
For me, my opinion, is that the hood scoop on the Gen2 MCS/JCW/GP does nothing... but maybe warp and cause wind drag.
Kind of a "Parking Lot Poser" kind of scoop if you will. (flame on LOL)
I'd like to go for the Scoop-Less look on my car... and still be able to bolt on/off when needed with my other hood.
I know the "Ram air" intake systems exist from some diff vendors.... just not into that either.
I've seen 2 different kinds of hoods out there without hood scoops.
One seems to have a 'bulge' in it while the other is smooth. (see photos Below)
Question 1) What is the part number for the one with the bulge in the hood below?
Question 2) Whas that part number from question 1 used on the goodwood?
Question 3) Will this hood simply bolt to any R56-LCI Base cooper, MCS or JCW 2011-2013?
I just can't see any "bump" in this hood on this GoodWood like the the last pic in this post.
