Saw this post from ECS...
Pricey...but.... HUMM.

What makes them dim? 12-Volt applied to connector... If so... a simple relay can drive that from the a PV cell or the headlight circuit.

HMM...

There for pre wired cars, like a direct swap for cars with those options. I have had people run wires and mod them to make them work. I dont think anyone ever posted up on these. If you have the auto dim in the center mirror already then you could tap those lines. Its need a solar sensor to work.
