I am thinking about tinting my windows. Does anyone have the auto-dim mirror and tinted windows? Does tinting the windows affect the mirror? What % are you windows tinted? Thanks for your thoughts!

 

I have 20% on my car and I also have the auto dimming mirror. To be honest I have not noticed anything with the mirror. I think the tinting allows the mirror to adjust less as the light shining on the windows already blocks out the light. So I can not tell you if minie works at all or not. All I can say is that I do not have issues with the lights blinding me when I am driving at night!

I have/had 35% tint on cars with auto dimming and did not have any problems, as garretwp said I think it pretty much makes the auto dim work less (or not need to work at all). On the other hand our current MCS does not have auto dimming and does have some tint and I do not miss the auto dimming at all.
