Hi!

I'm excited to join this forum! I was wondering if anyone knows what these two wires do on an N18 engine loom.They come off the loom near the camshaft position sensors. Also does anybody know where I can find a detailed N18 wiring diagram?

I'm attempting an N14 to N18 (JCW) engine conversion on a MCS with an automatic. It's already a terrible idea, but I'm too embarrassed to turn back now. If it works, I'll make sure to post a detailed guide. If it doesn't, I'll post a "what not to do" so you guys can have a nice giggle.

Thank you Mario!! Stupid question #2: do I need them? I have a N14 intake pipe right now. (Yeah, I know the PCV hoses don't quite fit, but I'll jury rig them).

 

yes or you'll get a check engine light. nm eng makes a resistor that plugs into it that fools the computer.

 

Thank you for your answer! I realize now that the N14 has at least one PCV heater, so I'll check the resistance and wire them up. Again, your answer is very much appreciated.
