Where is the ambient air temp sensor on a 2009 R56 JCW located? I threw a P0072 code ,(and showing 122 * F ambient!) after I ran onto my brothers yard it had a slight grassy rise and caught the front spoiler just a little.. I must have broke or dislodged a wire. After looking around under the front of the car and searching through the Bentleys manual I could not find it.

 

it is behind the right (passenger) side wheel well. if you pull the well, you will see a wire running into the bumper close to the inter-cooler opening.

 

+1 Its in that location, check the wires to make sure they are not corroded.

Thanks for the help, Found it ,ordered a new as the tip was broke off by rubbing on the IC ,PITA to get to,
