Side folding mirrors automatic?

Finally replaced our beloved MINI S with a 2013 Cooper S.

Is there any module or programing that can make them automatically fold in once the car is turned off? Then fold out once started?

I did see a Taiwan company selling a module to use with the remote. Hoping for auto fold when engine off rather than double-click lock on fob - if possible.

It can be coded to fold immediately upon pressing the lock button on the FOB, then once you press the unlock button, it will unfold. My only caution for this is to not do this if you are/going to be in a area that is prone to snow/ice.

Do I have to get that module? Or is this something that can be coded with the stock module?

No worries on snow/ice but a very good tip.

Additional hardware not needed. Your OEM module can be coded for this.

I asked my shop who has the factory service computer/coder. Is there any place to direct them to? He said the 13 model was really locked down by BMW

It can be done using a KDCAN cable and NCS Expert, which is part of the BMW Standard Tools. If you need help, just shoot me an email at codemyride@gmail.com.
