Hey everybody! Living the MINI life once again. Picked up a 2012 Cooper S. Looks like there's no noisemaker thingy for the N18 engine. How can I get some sweet turbo soundz? Intake? Intercooler resonator delete? Both?

N18 doesn't have a noise maker so no worry there.

If you want the Whoosh sound an intake is the most cost effective way to get that sound. check it out.

An intercooler won't change the intake sound, but I do notice after installing them that the exh tone gets a very slight change.

Intercooler resonator delete, DOS intake, and an atmospheric BOV is what I did. Just recently added a Borla Sport exhaust and straight-piped the resonator. I think it sounds great! There is even a bit of turbo noise out of the exhaust when I am on it hard. Which is almost always.

How do you like the Borla Sport Exhaust? I'm going back and forth between something like that or a fJCW muffler. The JCW muffler is inexpensive and typically gets good reviews.

LOVE the sound of the Borla. At first, I was a bit unhappy with it, and wished I hadn't sold my Remus Powersound muffler. Then, I had the Borla resonator removed. Sounds much more like I want it now! I have a vid/sound clip on my phone if you want to PM me your text number.
