R56 transmission leak?
transmission leak?
I have a 2013 mini cooper S hardtop. The other day I found a huge amount of fluid in front under the car in the garage. In the process of trying to locate the source I called the mini dealer in Charlotte who told me that my transmission was sealed from the factory and I could not check the level. Long story short in looking underneath while on the lift there is a hole in the bottom off what I believe is the transmission where I can clearly see a gear. The hole doesn't appear to have threads. Is this some kind of plug that has come on and drained the fluid? If so can this be fixed or am I looking at a new transmission. What puzzles me is there are all kinds of youtube stuff showing changing fluid in a 2013. I will try and get a picture of the hole I am talking about. Any help here would be soooo appreciated.
Thanks.
