That's the plastic housing, which is not your issue. The electrical part you need is either #5 or #10 in the diagram here: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=63_0996. It would help if you post a photo that shows the problem in the connector.

#10 is easy to find, just Google the part number (63212756179) for vendors.

The connector will be harder to track down. It is X319 in the wiring diagram (https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/r...r-hat/CTCu0hTl), but I don't see it as a separate item in the parts catalog. It comes with the entire wiring: https://www.outmotoring.com/wiring-rear-left.html. You should check if the connector has a part number on it.

Parts ordered , I will post after I am done

This is a strange one - bought this Mini new 10 yeats ago. Not sure why this terminal burnt the way it did. At first, I thought it was just a burnt out bulb for the turn signal. Who ever designed that hole / reach in twist bulb out and replace ///// should be WHIPPED, lol

Finally realized All were out - learned how to remove chrome ring on tail light - 3 torx screws and it was out... Duhhhhh

just got my new parts and replaced both the Bulb holder and the plug/pigtail that goes into it.. For what ever reason - one of the connectors in the plug/pigtail burned out???
was super easy to change.
the part number and place I got the bulb holder was
RM European auto parts # 63-21-2-755-179 about $26
plug/pigtail I got thru Autozone because I was not 100% sure it would fit but it did
#Dorman 645-733 Tail Light Harness could even get this from Amazon

Are you saying that you replaced the parts but it immediately burned out again?

Seen the taillights melt at the bulb connection but not at the harness. Most of the time its arching of the bulb connection.
