I have fog lights in my r56 from pep boys. I just pulled the bulb and went into the store and got two that were the same because I didn't know the part number so I compared them. I've them in for almost a year now and havn't had to replace either of them and havn't had any kind of problem.

I have used them before, works great in the fog/snow. I have used the Ziza and the Piaa, both good options, the Ziza ones are on sale and a lower cost option. Just make sure you get the H8 fitment bulb.

I also added yellow LaminX film over the lights for even yellower tint

i am thinking of doing this as well as the wife has to deal with heavy sea fog during the winter months.
i was looking for bulbs last night and stumbled upon some led bulbs that are dual color temp.
they are 3000k and 6000k.
they swap colors by switching the fogs off and on really quickly.
they are on ebay, are very affordable, chinese, and may be junk but im going to try them and see if they work.
they look to fit in there space wise and are designed for fog lamps so they have the correct beam pattern.
i have my car coded to leave fogs on with high beams so i dont think ill have too many issues with the lights changing colors on their own.
its a novel idea, im just not sure if it will work with the mini.
i will code out the bulb check for the fogs if they set a warning lamp.
anyone else seen these yet?
search h8 dual color 3000k and you should find them

also, id recommend against up-ing the wattage from 35.
i did that with my last mini and the housings melted with a 55w halogen watt bulb

Here 'ya go. I also put PURE WHITE L.E.D. lamps in the position lights above the fogs to better match the Bi-Xenon.

Chinese led bulbs in a halogen housing. "designed for fog lamps". Good luck. Theyre just going to shoot light out every which way. They very well probably are brighter, but the useable light (with your butt in the driver seat) is probably the same or worse. Let us know what you find!
