Intermittent pops and burbles

The pop and burble feature of my 2011 MCS comes and goes as I drive. Fully warmed up, Sport mode on constantly. Anyone else experience this? Is it something that can be "repaired" in some way? Love the way my car sounds when the pops and burbles are there. It is a bit disappointing when they cut out. I have tried to include a link to my youtube video. Let me know if it doesn't work. Thanks, gang!

At 1:10, pops and burbles go away. Back again at 1:37. Gone at 2:16. Back at 2:43.

I love the sound of the pops/burbles too, but the only time I hear them is when I lay off the accelerator very slightly.

If the engine temp goes under 168 degrees it won't pop. It happens to me as well it's normal. While driving during cold days the temp will go down and it won't pop until the temp goes back up.

It was almost 70 that day, and the car had been driven about 30 miles, and not shut off before I started recording. The coolant temp was over 200 degrees, never went below that. I think it was right around 208 on my ScanGauge.

This would make sense to me. I have really only owned my Mini since the cold settled in this year and have noticed it wont start to pop until the engine is warmed up and only really after an appreciable amount of throttle is applied.

I frequently have a lack of pops.

Get a manic remap with a BBQ mode & it will do it alot more.
when they remap they turn down the temp so it pop's about 174 or something like that.
open down pipe and open exhaust help alot more.

I also noticed once temps go 200+ closer to 210 the pops stop for a short time until it temps drop to lower 200 or under. Also is your fan working?

Yes, fans are working. I will monitor the temp more closely, but can't imagine it changing much in 3 minutes with a fully warmed up engine.
