central locking with remote and easy entry not working

Just bought a 07 Mini Cooper S for my son and the key fob and easy entry do not work, power locks work from mechanical key and power door lock switch. Is there a central locking module in the car? location? could a defective hatch release handle cause this? Also radio cuts out when driving intermittently, I am an MB certified tech, any help would be greatly appreciated. , Thanks in advance

Removed left and right side kick panels. inspected for moisture and found moisture in footwell module, found corrosion in top connector. Cleaned up module but still no go. Will have to take car to work where I have all my tools. Does anyone have the pin out for the footwell module connectors? top connector was corroded but not severely, minor corrosion inside module again not too bad. I am trying to figure out which circuits the top connector pins will affect.

Figured it all out, remote locking, interior rear view mirror antennae was out, radio was the unit itself, radio had lost its can ability, no instrument cluster info displayed in radio, i guess with no can it didn't know when car was on or off

So did you check the battery? Or was it a Footwell module problem?

root of the cause was a water leak at the sun roof and windshield A pillar exterior trims, windshield previously replaced did not reinstall all the retainer clips. water got into the rear view mirror connector, antennae in mirror went south. also had to clean the footwell connectors had some green rot but did not cause any issues.
