Replacement Tire Recommendations

I've got a 2011 R56 that has two of the original tires that need replacement. I thought that I might replace with the same model (Continental ContiProContact SSR Run-Flat All-Season Tire - 195/55R16 87V), still available.

Looking around, these seem like fine but not fantastic tires and not inexpensive.

For similar or lesser (or a little more) is there a preferred all season SSR that people like for the R56? Handling, noise and wear are all important (I know there are trade offs between them.)

It will be driven in rain and dry pavement and, rarely, light snow.

Thanks!

I don't know that non-runflat is a deal breaker for me. It looks like the better performing tires are non-runflat. Is this due to the lighter weight?

These michelins look nice:

I saw those. They look to be very similar to the Premier performance wise. A few trade offs between them. My presumption is that they are both good tires.

The Premier seems to be more common of the two.

Which would better perform in the rain and wet? This is my winter car.

Really like the bf Goodrich g-force comp2 all season. Very well priced and handle well. Even if the tread wear isn't great, it's cheap enough to replace at this price point more frequently.

2012 R56S owner here.

I second the recommendation of the Pilot AS3's. I replaced my runflats with these a month ago, drove soon after in a soaking rain (intersections blocked off all along my route due to flooding) and was really thrilled with how they performed.

Loving them on dry roads too. Much smoother ride than the runflats. Haven't driven in snow as yet.

Think I am going to try the Pilots. They seem to be a little more performance oriented than the Premiers, which may have a slightly nicer ride.

Both seem highly regarded for wet and rain driving.
