short shifter

Had some questions about buying a short shifter. I like the clean look of not have the shifter boot. I was thinking about the one ecs has ( https://www.ecstuning.com/b-megan-ra...FQoxaQod94UOKA )

But I will also need the box that's actually under the car correct?

Then if I want the clean look I have to buy the cover and stuff

Unfortunately, the Megan shifter in the ECS link is for a Gen 1 R53.

Yep the Megan is a sweet looking shifter. +1 to the CravenSpeed short shifter though. That's what I put in Vlad along with the NM box cover and weighted shift ****.

Yes, those are for Gen 1 MINIs.

For a short shifter you will need

nm-engineering is a quality part and really shortens the distance between shifts. Make sure to get the extended cover to keep the junk out. nm-eng.com

I've had both the NM and the CravenSpeed in the same car (Clubman S). I converted from the NM to the CS because a friend sold his MINI and I bought his CS SSK. The NM unit is excellent - no complaints. I'm glad that I converted though - the CS can be adjusted (length of throw/"notchiness") which allows me to dial in just the right feel. My goal for my Clubman is to make it as much fun to drive every day as possible, and the CravenSpeed SSK helps with that. I also have the CS well cover and the CS engraved shift **** - a great setup for me.

Also, CravenSpeed is an outstanding vendor to deal with. I don't have any relationship with CravenSpeed other than being a customer.
